Year 4 have had a great day out at Tamworth Castle. We spent the morning completing two different workshops.
One was all about the hierarchy in the Anglo Saxon time. This involved looking at the different outfits that would be worn by trained soldiers and farmers. Some of us had the opportunity to dress up and we all had the chance to make a lot of noise with a war cry using a wooden sword and shield.
The other workshop was all about what Anglo-Saxons would have done in their free time. We tried out various games, including knuckle bones, as well as creating our own story.
After lunch, we had the opportunity to go to the gift shop and explore Anglo-Saxon artifices, including the Staffordshire Hoard.
Have a look at the photos to see more of what we got up to.
