A week of Celebrations!

The week commencing the 1st of November definitely brimmed with celebrations! Our children had a rich learning experience, focusing on similarities and differences among families, communities and traditions, as we learnt about Diwali.

Our Reception children particularly enjoyed making ‘Diva Lamps’ from clay. What a beautiful experience!

During our theme lesson, the children have also had the opportunity to learn about past events in history as we explored Guy Fawkes, the Gunpowder plot and how this links to Bonfire Night.

We had hot-dogs to celebrate Bonfire night and not to mention our fantastic Diwali lunch put together by Tina and her lovely team!
