Hello to all our Brilliant Buttercups and Super Sunflowers!

You made such a positive start to the week and have done some excellent learning so far. Let’s have a look at what we are doing today.

In Maths, Mrs Houghton will be continuing with your division learning by dividing by 5. Remember to think about making links between division and your times tables. The more time you spend learning them, the more confident you will feel about solving division problems.

English is looking at identifying the different word classes. We know that words are nouns, adjectives, verbs and adverbs- but can we identify them within a poem? You can either pick the task with the key, or you can create your own  colour coded key. Remember, an adjective describes a noun. A noun is an object eg table, chair. A verb is a word of action and an adverb adds detail to tell us HOW a verb is carried out eg slowly, quickly.

Theme this afternoon is history and art combined. There will be a Teams lesson at 2:15 with Mrs Taylor to explain the task which will be designing an Aztec print that you will print onto fabric next week. Here is the hieroglyphics mat we will be using if you are unable to attend the lesson. You need to select an image and copy it to the best of your ability as it will be printed onto fabric to stick in your Theme book. Take your time to look at the colours and shapes in the image.

Enjoy your learning!

Love from Mrs Taylor and Mrs Houghton.
