Carrying on from our Geography Field Trip, we have been looking at different kinds of maps and using Digimaps on IPads to help us explore our local area in more detail.
Looking at aerial maps, or bird’s eye view maps, means we can show different features clearly using a key. A key is a list of symbols and what they represent and are used on maps to help us understand them more clearly. Year One thought about our journey to the Co-Op and what we saw along the way before drawing an aerial map of the route.
