Today, a very excited Year One and their helpers wrapped up warmly and braved the morning frost to go on our Geography and Christmas Post trip.

We walked with our partners and helpers to the Post Box by the Co-Op, making sure to look at our local environment along the way. Armed with clip boards and pencils, we made a note of how many cars, buses, traffic lights and road signs we saw along with other features of our area. It was interesting to see how busy the roads are with people driving around- we even saw motorbikes.

Once at the Co-Op, it was time to post our Christmas cards. We were all very excited to do this because some of us had not done this before. Mrs Taylor explained that once we had posted them, someone who works for the Post Office would collect them before they went somewhere to be sorted and posted.

It is exciting to know that very soon our cards will be on their way!
