Year One have been learning about what bullying is and what it might look like if it happened in and outside of school. This helped us to understand that bullying is wrong and we can talk to someone if it is happening to us or to one of our friends.
We thought of five different people we can trust to speak to about bullying who will do their best to help us. It is important to know there are grown ups around us who will listen to us and try to help us or our friends.
We also spoke about how we are all unique which makes us special. We drew a self portrait and also thought about what makes us ‘us’ and drew pictures to represent this. We know that even though we are all different, we are equal and part of the Year One family as well as the School community. This is something to celebrate and furthered our understanding of why it is important to work together to stop bullying.
