In Friday’s science lesson, Year 4 were investigating how switches work.  We made our own electrical circuits and then created a switch from paper fasteners, cardboard and a paper clip. We investigated how we could turn the bulb on and off.

Our investigation showed that when the circuit was complete and all metal components were touching, the switch was closed and the bulb would light.  When the switch was open and the circuit was broken, the bulb turned off.
