Frank Chapman Day 2

May 9, 2023

Everyone was up early for the second day of our residential trip. We headed down to breakfast for a range of cereal and toast before having a bit of free time on the playing field. We then got ready for our next activity (either the archery and blind sight or water cycle and rivers). It’s been glorious sunshine all morning.
After our activities, we headed in for lunch followed by a little bit more free time. There had to be a last minute change of plan due to the stormy weather. We all took shelter in the outdoor classroom whilst waiting for the worst of the weather to pass. Fortunately, it didn’t last long and we were able to complete an orienteering task (originally tomorrow’s activity).

For our evening activity, we walked through some of the woodland on site. We were told the story of the ‘Magical Wishing Tree’ and some of us chose to make a wish. Back a the centre, it’s time for hot chocolate and then a good night’s sleep. Everyone’s exhausted!

      Good evening,
We are in the process of adding more photos from both days. Unfortunately, the photos take a long time to upload (from one camera at a time) and it’s difficult to fit in with all of the activities! Hopefully, they’ll all be uploaded soon.
