Denim Class were excited to celebrate our love of reading for World Book Day and embraced the chance to dress up as characters from our favourite books- from Gangsta Granny to Matilda; Cleopatra to Harry Potter, we had every base covered!

Our learning was based around Alice in Wonderland and we worked hard to develop our echo and choral reading skills by using a script for when Alice meets the Caterpillar. This encouraged us to think about our use of  intonation as well as using illustrations and film clips to enhance our understanding of the importance of expression.

During the afternoon, we got to take part in a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party in our amazing library- stay tuned for photos!
