Welcome to the final week of the half term Year 5, what a busy half term it has been.

Here is your Maths and English learning, it will build on what we have been doing in relation to fractions and thinking about our description of the First Class Titanic suites.

Maths: last week we compared fractions less than a whole, today we are thinking about those larger than a whole. Make sure you take your time to use the bar models accurately and understand what the denominator is for each question.

English: to prepare you for writing your description of what it would have been like aboard the First Class area of the Titanic, there is a VIPERS comprehension to complete which will allow you to start gathering ideas. Using your reading skill of Retrieval, remember to mark the text (underling, circle or use a coloured pencil) as this will enable you to retrieve the necessary information accurately.
