On Thursday 6th January, Year 5 and 8 intrepid adults braved the snowy weather for a trip to the Think Tank in Birmingham. We went to see the spectacular show in the Planetarium as a Stunning Start to our Space Theme in Science.
It was amazing to see the night sky and discuss the constellations that we can’t usually see due to light pollution. We learned that the Ancient Greeks had stories as to why they were in the sky and how we can use them to help navigate our way across the seas!
As well as this, we spent time in the individual exhibits learning about our bodies, how our planet is changing and got to see the incredible items that have been manufactured in Birmingham’s history.
It was a fantastic day, full of learning and excitement- so much so that some of us fell asleep on the coach on the way back to school!
