Year 2 have been working to sketch, design and produce a dragon’s eye from clay. Using our BLP muscle of making links, we have drawn on ideas from our English writing where we had to describe a dragon of the elements.

We watched videos about using art techniques such as scoring the clay so it can stick to another surface; using a slip to create a bond between the surfaces and then blending the edges to disguise the join.

I’m sure you’ll agree that we have used our design skills incredibly effectively and that our dragon eyes reflect the hard work and effort we have put into our learning.
