Our Rubies have thoroughly enjoyed our Seaside theme this term. Our first stop was Julia Donaldson’s Tiddler. This book was packed with rhymes about a fish who told tall tales!

Then we moved on to Sally and the limpet by Simon James where we learnt about limpets, rock pools and sea creatures. We also learnt about seaside safely and how to keep safe in the sun!

The show stopper was definitely Shark in the park by Nick Sharratt which the children found very fascinating. A shark in the park? Oh, we hope not! We learnt about different shark and made collected a bank of ideas for a different end to the story.

We have had many opportunities for paired talk, role playing, hot seating and of course, art and craft.

Below are snippets of the last couple of weeks!

From all of us, we say, have a lovely and relaxing half term!
Look at the picture below. Can you guess our theme for next half term? We promise it’ll be equally exciting!
