Some activities for over half term.

We hope you all have a good half term and somehow manage to fill it will interesting things to do despite the lockdown. Here you will find a few ideas to do if you are stuck! We would like to see one of these activities returned to school either via email or brought to school if you are a key worker.

1 – Types of mountains

As you know, mountain ranges are formed when tectonic plates converge (push into each other) but there are different types of mountain ranges. Have a look at this information page I have put together and have a go at creating a poster, diagram or model of one of the mountain formations you  read about – have fun!

2 – Create a volcano

Have a go at making a model volcano and then make it erupt. See the link below.

3 – Express yourself through nature

Continuing on from ‘Children’s Mental Health Week’, we thought you might like to try this nature crafting activity.

4 – Purple Mash Activities

I have set lots of activities and games linked to our Mountains topic.

Above all though, have a good rest, enjoy some family time and stay safe.
